Ayali Kalan (ਅਯਾਲੀ ਕਲਾਂ, अयाली कलां, ایالی کلاں) is a village located in the Ludhiana West tehsil, of Ludhiana district, Punjab.[1] The village is administrated by a Sarpanch who is an elected representative of the village as per constitution of India and Panchayati Raj (India).

  • Baba Sajjan Well - The Sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited the village Ayali Kalan near Ludhiana, Punjab. Seeing so many tobacco fields, he said, “I would like to meet somebody who does not consume tobacco”. People of the village said that there is one person Baba Sajjan he does not consume Tobacco. Then Guru Ji asked Baba Sajjan to prepare food. After taking food Guru Ji advised him to visit him at Kiratpur Sahib on the first day (Sangrand) of each month. From that day Baba Sajjan started going to Kiratpur and became the permanent follower of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. On one such occasion, Baba Sajjan was late. Guru Ji asked for the reason. He told that he wanted to dig a well in his fields but his kins did not allow him. Guru Ji said, “The well would be there in your fields and it would be a very sacred one. Whosoever would pray there, his/her prayer would be heard.” When Baba Sajjan returned to his village, he saw a well in his fields. That well has been still preserved.
  • Gurudwara Thada Sahib, Ayali Kalan - is situated in Village Ayali Kalan, Distt Ludhiana. Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji came here two times. The first time Guru Sahib came her while coming back from Nanakmatta Sahib, Where Guru Ji had gone on call from Baba Almast Ji. Guru Ji came here through Dugri (Gurudwara Shri Damdam Sahib). And from here Guru Sahib left towards Daroli Bhai Ki, Where Guru Sahib's family was at the house of Bhai Sai Das Ji. The second time Guru Ji came here from Gujjarwal. At here Bhai Bidi Chand Ji and some followers himself made a Thada for Guru Sahib to sit. Now, Gurudwara Thada Sahib is situated in this place. From here Guru Hargobind Ji went towards Mao sahib.
